VEGAS*

Hi there, folks! My name is Vegas, and I’m a happy boy who loves a good paradox–I am mellow yet active, sociable yet reserved, and loving yet independent. I LOVE going out on long walks/runs/hikes or playing an enthusiastic game of tug, but I can also lie contentedly on my bed chewing a bone or napping. I like to be with people (even strangers who come for a party!), but I don’t ask for much attention. I enjoy a good belly-rub every once and a while, but mostly I’m happy just to be in the same room with you doing my own thing. After being picked up as a stray, I was in the shelter for four months before going to a foster home. I’ve done very well and been so happy in a foster family, and I really can’t wait to find my forever family.

Ideal Home

Vegas is afraid of confined spaces, including crates. He is also very interested in chasing small animals and does not like getting in cars, though he does just fine once he is in. His suitability with children, other dogs, or cats is currently unknown.

Training & Support

Vegas is housetrained and knows "sit." He is easy to leash and is generally a good walker who is non-reactive when passing other dogs. He is treat-motivated, with preferences for jerky, pup-cups, and scrambled eggs (but no Greenies).
