Man O' War

Hi, I'm Man O' War! I'm a Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix with a sensitive heart and lots of love to give. After being returned to the county shelter, I was welcomed back by ATR. I can be cautious with new people, but once I trust you, I'm a total sweetheart who loves cuddles, belly rubs, playtime, and staying close to my favorite humans. I'm active and looking for a family who can match my energy while helping me feel safe and understood.

Ideal Home

I need an experienced adopter who understands canine body language, respects my boundaries, and can help me build confidence. I'm nervous around strangers, have handling sensitivities, and can become distressed and vocal when left alone. A home with a yard is strongly recommended; apartment or multi-unit living may not be the best fit. I'm selective about dog friends and would do best without reactive, pushy, or overly corrective dogs. I would not be suitable for a home with children under 8.
