Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a hoarding case with over 40 dogs. While he was fed and kept reasonably clean, he didn't have much opportunity for socialization. Riggs is a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and time to observe his surroundings. He does well with other dogs and cats, and would greatly benefit from a friendly dog companion in his new home to help build his confidence.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a home with a fenced yard for safety and because he is not a fan of loud noises or sudden commotion. He would do best with older children (10+) who are calm and respectful, as he is not suited for boisterous interactions. A laid-back environment with a canine buddy is ideal for Riggs.

Training & Support

Riggs is still catching up on some of the basics of everyday life due to limited socialization. He thrives with structure, kindness, and time, especially from his people. He is not a fan of loud noises, so holidays like the Fourth of July may be challenging for him.
