Lolita

Hey there, it’s me, Lolita! I’m a 1-year-old, 7 lb miniature poodle girl with the calmest, most peaceful little soul you’ll ever meet! I spent most of my life outside after being bought from a pet store, and I came to FCCR neglected, matted, and with faded hair — but none of that dimmed my sweet spirit one bit. I’m a total shadow and I love following my person from room to room; I just want to be near my people, soaking up all the love. I’ll happily entertain myself with a ball and I even enjoy a short game of chase with a playful pup, but I’m just as content curling up quietly by your side. I did wonderfully with my foster home’s cat and got along beautifully with all the other dogs too! I’d also do great with older, dog-savvy kids who know how to be gentle with a little girl my size. I’m learning what it means to live as an inside family member and I’m smart; I will follow other resident doggies in and out the door. I am catching on fast and a well-behaved little girl. I know there is still lots to learn so I am looking for a patient family who will help me master all the important doggie manners. Hope that’s YOU!

Training & Support

Because I’m so petite, I need a little help getting up onto the couch or bed, and I could use some leash training since I like to chew on it — is that not what I’m supposed to do? LOL I do okay in the car, but due to my small size I should be safely crated unless I’m being held. I am looking for a patient family who will help me master all the important doggie manners.
