Malouk

Meet Malouk, a 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a loving heart. He came to us after his person passed away and his needs weren't being met. Now, this sweet senior is ready to find a home where he can be cherished. Malouk is blind, but he navigates life with resilience and still enjoys walks, naps, and lots of treats! He’s also shown a playful spark from time to time.

Ideal Home

Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key environment where he feels safe and settled. He would be happy as an only pet, but he also does well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand he can spook easily due to his blindness. He is incredibly friendly with people and has a soft spot for children.

Ongoing Health

Malouk is blind and can experience some anxiety, which is managed well with calming medication and a consistent environment.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained, but may mark indoors and benefits from belly bands. He will need continued leash training as he can pull when excited or unsure. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.
