About Triton

Triton came to us as a stray, a little rough around the edges with a unique gait. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saw his potential and got him cleaned up. We were so happy to help this sweet boy! Triton's funny walk is due to a birth defect where both of his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. While he gets around just fine on his own, the wear and tear has led to arthritis. He's currently on daily anti-inflammatories and may need a wheelchair down the road, but for now, he's very mobile! Walks aren't his favorite, but he absolutely adores belly rubs and spending time with his people. Triton is generally a mellow fellow with occasional bursts of playful energy. Dinner time is his absolute favorite, and while he enjoys toys, he also likes to eat them! He'd do best without any stuffed toys, but he's a big fan of chew bones. Could you be the special person Triton is waiting for?

Ideal Home

A home where he can be with his people and receive plenty of belly rubs. Triton cannot have any stuffed toys due to a tendency to eat them, but he loves chew bones.

Ongoing Health

Triton has arthritis due to a birth defect affecting his femurs and knees. He is on daily anti-inflammatories and may require a wheelchair in the future.

Training & Support

Triton enjoys playtime but needs supervision with toys to prevent him from eating them. He would do best with chew bones instead.
