Cleo is a sweet 6-year-old female Labrador mix, weighing around 30 lbs, who was rescued in November 2023 after being found with a fractured leg. Thankfully, her leg healed well, and while she has a slight limp, it doesn't hinder her happy and active life. Cleo is a loyal, grateful, and loving companion who, after an initial shyness, blossoms into an incredibly affectionate dog once she feels safe. She has a calm and gentle demeanor, is well-behaved, and truly cherishes her second chance at life. Cleo is also a dream to travel with, walks beautifully on a leash, and is crate trained. She might not be perfect in appearance, but to those who know her, she's absolutely perfect and eager to share her joy with a forever family.
Ideal Home
- A home with a fenced backyard.
- An active family that enjoys daily walks or hiking.
- A family willing to give a rescued pet time to show their best personality, understanding that it may take at least 3 months.
- A family with an open conscience regarding the needs of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education.
- Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred.
- High tolerance and patience for rescued animals.

Training & Support
Cleo is not house-trained and will require continued patience and consistency in this area. The rescue organization emphasizes that they are unable to house-train every foster pet due to the sheer number of animals they care for.

Transporation
Cleo is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure.
