My name is Barbie Anne, and my foster mom calls me Barbie Girl! I'm a sweet 2 1/2-year-old lady who weighs around 22 pounds. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite thing in the world, and I could happily soak them up for hours! My foster brother, Rudy, is my best friend. We're the same size and inseparable, though I'm a bit more reserved with larger dogs. My foster dad calls me "baby girl," and it just melts my heart. I'm a gentle soul, but I can be a little protective of my home and family, sometimes barking or growling when I sense something new. I have a lot of energy and love to run and play, so I need slow introductions to new people. I'm doing wonderfully on medication for anxiety, which helps me feel more secure.

Ideal Home

I'd do best in a home with a calmer environment where there aren't too many people coming and going. I can get nervous and react with barking, urination, or growling when I'm unsure, so taking time to warm up to new humans is important. I'm a fluffy toy destroyer, so I need plenty of super chewer toys to keep my instincts happy!

Ongoing Health

I'm spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my vaccines and preventions. I do take daily medication for anxiety, which has been very effective.

Training & Support

I'm mostly house-trained but do have occasional accidents, especially when excited. I am crate-trained and do well in my crate, though I might cry a bit at first when settling in. I can get excited on leash, but I walk well. I need a patient family who understands my need for slow introductions and a predictable routine. When I get overstimulated, I need a quiet, dark space, like my crate, to decompress.
