Sammie

Sammie is a 7-year-old, 8-pound Rat Terrier mix with a sweet disposition. He was surrendered to us because his owner could no longer care for him due to health issues. Sammie is a little confused by his change in circumstances, but he's making foster friends and enjoying his time in a foster home with a securely fenced yard. He's even starting to seek out chin scratches! Sammie has only lived with an older lady, so he will need a patient adopter who will take things slow to help him warm up to gentlemen. He does take a little bit to trust new people, but we understand his whole world has been turned upside down, and we're committed to giving him the time he needs to adjust and find the perfect forever home.

Ideal Home

A quiet home with consistent care and a fenced yard would suit Sammie best. He absolutely loves being outside!

Ongoing Health

Sammie has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and brought up to date on all required vaccines. He is recovering and will be ready for adoption soon.

Training & Support

Sammie is still adjusting to his new environment. Patience and understanding will go a long way in helping him feel secure and trust his new family.
