Meet Portia, a sweet Siberian Husky Mix who weighs 43lbs and has an estimated birthday of 04/29/2016. This gentle senior girl is proof that the best things in life only get sweeter with age! Portia is looking for a loving family to spend her golden years with, one where she can enjoy the comfort, safety, and affection she deserves. She is a wonderful house companion who enjoys simply being near her people, happy just spending time by your side whether you're relaxing on the couch, reading a book, or watching TV. She is fully potty trained and walks nicely on a leash. Like many senior pups, Portia moves a little slower these days, but she still enjoys heading outside for leisurely strolls and fresh air. Her appetite remains excellent, and she would gladly choose a tasty meal of canned food over kibble any day of the week!

Portia would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She may even enjoy having an older canine companion to share her days with, as she genuinely likes other dogs. She gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and children.

Transportation
Portia is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations of transported dogs may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
