Krockett

Krockett is a handsome 1-year-old male Labrador mix, weighing around 55 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Krockett is a loving, loyal, intelligent, and polite dog who is always happy and smiling. He's a playful, joyful, and active companion who would thrive in a home that enjoys the outdoors and an active lifestyle. He's already crate and leash trained and is a fantastic passenger on car rides.

Ideal Home

Krockett would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, offering protection and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has been neutered and is up-to-date on his DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. He has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained, he is not yet house-trained. The rescue understands the challenges of house-training many fostered animals and emphasizes the importance of continued patience and training from his new family.

• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet and greet will be arranged with you, Krockett, and his foster.
• A trial adoption period will be offered with clear instructions for integration.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, heartworm test, and a health certificate. A transport fee of $250.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers the service provided by a transport company.

Krockett is currently in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest.
