Kendall

I'm Kendall, a sweet and gentle 7-year-old girl with an "old soul." I came to the shelter as a stray with my sister, Kylie, and we were both very skinny. We're all cleaned up and have full bellies now! While I'd love to stay with Kylie, I can also thrive on my own. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and am friendly to everyone I meet. I'm always ready for a snack (or two!) and can't wait to be your devoted companion. Just look at these ears – how can you resist?

Ongoing Health

I am currently undergoing heartworm treatment. I've received my first injection and will need an adopter who can continue my treatment protocol and attend necessary follow-up appointments. Polk County Humane Society will cover the cost of my treatment even after adoption.

Transporation

I am located at Polk County Humane Society in Bolivar, Missouri. We also offer transport services twice monthly to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA, and St. Louis areas. If you are in one of these areas, we can arrange a virtual meet-and-greet via FaceTime or a similar app. Please indicate your preference for a virtual visit when requesting an appointment. For long-distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, an additional $100 fee applies ($65 for transport, $35 for a health certificate). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas.
