King is a one-year-old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid-back nature. He's still gaining confidence and can be a little shy around new things and loud noises, but once he feels secure, he's a sweetheart! While he can be a bit jumpy when excited, he's generally calm and easygoing. King absolutely loves to run and play in the yard, go for walks, and spend time outdoors. He's a playful pup who enjoys games of fetch, tug-of-war, and especially loves to chew! Hard chew toys and knuckle bones make him a very happy boy. He's also crate and house-trained, making him an easy addition to your family.
Ideal Home
King would thrive in a patient and understanding home where he can continue to build his confidence and learn that the world is a safe and wonderful place. He has a prey drive and enjoys chasing small animals, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Ongoing Health
King has a sensitive stomach and does best on a diet formulated for sensitive stomachs. Treats like milk bones do not agree with him.
Training & Support
King is crate trained and house trained. He can be a little jumpy when excited, but generally calms down. With love and consistency, he will be a loyal and loving companion.
