Hi there, I'm Jace! I'm a 55-pound bulldog mix with a heart full of love to give. My coat is a handsome mix of white and brown, and I'm as sweet as can be. My absolute favorite thing in the world is snuggling up with my favorite person for some good old-fashioned belly rubs and head scratches. I'm also a smart cookie and have been working hard on commands like "sit," "down," and "leave it." With a tasty treat, I'm a very motivated learner and I'm sure I could master even more tricks!
When it comes to playtime, I love my Kong stuffed with kibble or peanut butter, gnawing on bones, and playing with my stuffed animals. Fetch is fun, though I'll admit I don't always want to give the ball back! Tug-of-war is another favorite. I'd make an amazing best friend and love to follow you around the house, just chilling by your side. I'm a bit of a goober and sometimes forget how big I am – I might try to hop into your lap just to be close!
Ideal Home
I'm already potty and crate trained and walk beautifully on a leash. I do need to be the only pet in the home, as I'm not good with dogs. This is likely out of fear rather than true aggression, as I spent most of my life chained in a yard before being rescued. I can live with cats, but I do get protective of my food around them.
Ongoing Health
I have a facial injury that has caused one side of my face to never fill in, but this doesn't affect my loving nature at all! I have completed heartworm treatment. I am neutered and vaccinated.
Training & Support
I will need ongoing support with my food guarding, especially in a home without cats. I am still learning that my food is safe.

Transporation
