Kanga is an 11-pound, 6-year-old Yorkie gentleman who is a true cuddle bug. He thrives on companionship and is happiest when snuggled up next to his favorite people. Kanga has an impressive jumping ability, which means a tall wooden fence is a must to keep him safely in the yard, especially since he's not one to try and escape when his family is around. He also has a knack for finding cozy spots, like a chair tucked under a table!
Ideal Home
Kanga would love a home with a companion dog, as he settles down better when other dogs are present when his family leaves. He is not suited for an apartment due to his vocal nature when left alone. Due to his size and past experiences, we will not place him in homes with large breed dogs or with small children. He also needs a home without a doggie door and with a swimming pool that is completely enclosed by permanent fencing.
Ongoing Health
Kanga is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention, and has had a dental cleaning.
Training & Support
Kanga is working on his potty training. He is reliably dry in his crate overnight but needs a little help learning that indoor marking is not acceptable. While he doesn't sleep in a crate, he'd much prefer to share his human's bed! He enjoys walks and has good leash manners, though new environments can sometimes make his skills a bit unpredictable on the first outing.
