A little about them
Augie is a 4-year-old French Bulldog looking for an experienced person who appreciates a loyal, devoted companion and can safely manage his discomfort around unfamiliar people and animals.
Ideal Home
Augie is best suited to a one-person, no-other-animals home. A carefully structured two-person home may be considered, as he has previously lived successfully with two women sharing his care. He should not be expected to greet visitors or participate in gatherings; when guests arrive, he should be secured comfortably in his crate or a separate room with enrichment.
Outside the home, Augie needs at least a 10-foot buffer from people and requires a handler who will firmly advocate for his space. He may bite unfamiliar people and should not be approached or petted by strangers. He is not appropriate for most homes and needs someone experienced, realistic, committed, and comfortable managing him for life.
Ongoing Health
Augie wears a muzzle when first meeting people because he may bite if given the opportunity. No other health conditions are reported.
Training & Support
Augie is crate-trained and house-trained. He thrives with predictable routines, clear boundaries, responsible management, and respectful handling. After a couple of days in the home, he will likely become a devoted best friend, shadow, and protective companion.
