About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix, currently weighing 45 lbs and expected to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, and cuddly, with a quirky charm that brings endless entertainment. Coraline's favorite game is peek-a-boo, and she expresses her playful spirit in gentle and funny ways. She's very people-oriented, happily following her foster family around like a shadow and showing affection with sweet puppy kisses or a gentle paw. Coraline has a calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She's social with both people and other dogs, greeting new friends with a calm demeanor before happily continuing her explorations. Coraline is the perfect blend of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – a true sidekick and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks to cozy evenings on the couch. She'll be happiest when included in her family's daily life and adventures. She needs a fenced yard for playtime and sunbathing. Due to her size and occasional nervousness in busy areas, apartments or condos are not recommended. Coraline thrives with another dog in the home and would do well with older, dog-friendly cats. She'd also do well with older children who understand she's a big, goofy puppy that doesn't always realize her size. She needs her human home more often than not, but occasional doggy daycare would be fine.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and any necessary vet care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty-trained and kennel-trained. She is still mastering leash training and will need additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She alerts her foster when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a doggy door. A consistent schedule and potentially a doggy doorbell will help her learn new routines.
