Meet Nala! She's a beautiful 4-year-old, 50-pound survivor who is ready to find the special person she can call her own. Nala's journey hasn't been easy. She came into rescue pregnant and heartworm positive, but today, her puppies have all found loving homes, and Nala has completed her heartworm treatment and received a clean bill of health. She is now spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Nala is kennel trained, potty trained, and settles quietly in her crate after a day of activity. She is a high-energy dog who loves to play hard and have fun, but she also appreciates having a safe space where she can relax and unwind. Because of her past experiences, Nala is very cautious when meeting new people and will need time to adjust to a new home and surroundings. She forms deep bonds slowly and meaningfully, and once she trusts you, Nala becomes incredibly loyal and devoted to her person. She previously lived in a foster home with cats and did well.

Training & Support
Nala is kennel trained and potty trained. She does have some resource-guarding tendencies with food and toys, so she will need an adopter who can manage those behaviors appropriately. She has been good with cats in her previous foster home.
