Spot

Meet Spot! This handsome 6-year-old Pointer/Bernese Mountain Dog mix is a social butterfly looking for his forever family. Spot has been a part of a walking pack since he was a pup, making him exceptionally well-socialized with kids, cats, and dogs. He loves to be near his people and has previously done well in a home where his family worked outside the house, happily entertaining himself with puzzle toys and napping. Spot is the kind of dog you can confidently take on hikes, bike rides, and to group gatherings.

Ideal Home

Spot would thrive in an active family that can continue to provide him with a great home. He is generally well-behaved and doesn't beg or counter surf. He can adjust to a home where his family works, provided he has enrichment activities.

Ongoing Health

Spot cannot eat chicken and can have a sensitive stomach. It's best to maintain a consistent diet with his food and treats and avoid giving him table scraps.

Training & Support

Spot is decent on a leash and is improving with positive support, though he can pull a bit. He dislikes having his nails trimmed and can be wary of fast-moving scooters. He is a great protector and will bark to alert you when someone is at the door, but he isn't generally a barky dog.
