Chicky

Chicky is a 3-year-old, 30 lb Beagle mix with a heart full of love to give, but she's looking for a very specific kind of home. Her journey started rough, found as a stray and terrified of the world. Through patience and love, she's blossomed into an affectionate and devoted pup who will fiercely protect those she trusts. Earn her trust, and you'll gain a loyal shadow, a devoted best friend, and a snuggle buddy who will love you with her whole heart.

Ideal Home

Chicky would do best with an adopter who has experience with reactive or behaviorally sensitive dogs and understands how to manage introductions, read canine body language, and continue building her confidence. She needs a low-traffic home with few visitors, where life is predictable and she won't be overwhelmed by new faces. Young children wouldn't be a good fit.

Ongoing Health

All dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian and arrive spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.

Training & Support

Chicky is house and kennel trained. She needs a calm, patient household that understands slow, thoughtful introductions to unfamiliar people. She absolutely loves to run, wrestle, and play with other dogs and is also great with cats!

Transportation

Chicky is currently in South Mississippi. Local adopters are welcome to pick up in Gulfport, MS. For out-of-town adopters, Chicky can be transported to New Orleans or Pensacola.
