Steve

Steve was discovered outside the shelter one morning, abandoned in a laundry basket filled with trash. He was tragically thin and weak. Security footage revealed a pickup truck and three men leaving him there in the early hours. Given his severe condition, humane euthanasia was considered the kindest option. However, when Steve realized people were caring for him, he lifted his head, a clear sign he wanted to live. He has seen a vet and is recovering from extreme malnourishment and neglect. His toenails were so long they had curled into his paw pads. He has a long journey to full recovery, but he's getting stronger each day!

Ideal Home

Steve is looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to build his strength and trust.

Ongoing Health

Steve is currently recovering from malnourishment and neglect. He is under veterinary care and will require ongoing monitoring as he regains his health.

Training & Support

Steve is still very much in recovery and will need continued patience and gentle guidance as he learns to trust and adapt.
