Hope is a sweet, approximately six-year-old American Pitbull Terrier - American Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs around 51 pounds. She's a calm and quiet girl who truly shines when she realizes you might have a treat or a gentle hand for pets. Hope adores affection and belly rubs, and she's happiest when she can just be near her people, soaking up love at her own pace. Treats are her absolute favorite, and she'll happily show off her manners for one! She also enjoys playing with toys, but overall, Hope is more of a laid-back and relaxed companion than a rowdy one. She walks nicely on a leash and would be content with a few strolls each day, followed by plenty of cozy naps.
Ideal Home
Hope would be a great candidate for an apartment setting, provided she gets regular walks and enrichment. She is people-friendly but appreciates a moment to warm up; once she's comfortable, she's incredibly sweet and affectionate. She coexists well with other dogs, calmly sharing yards, allowing sniffs, and generally minding her own business. She doesn't actively seek out playtime but tolerates other dogs nicely. While she would be happy as an only dog, she could also live with a low-energy, respectful canine companion who understands personal space. She showed no reaction to a cat during a test, but further testing would be recommended as it was a new environment. We believe she would do best with older children who understand boundaries and respect a dog's space.
