Meet Mila! This sweet 3-year-old, approximately 40lb Pitbull/Staffie mix is a bundle of playful energy and affection. Mila is a smart and curious girl who loves exploring and learning new things. She's incredibly people-oriented, always eager to greet new friends with enthusiasm and affection. When she's not busy investigating the world around her, she loves nothing more than cuddling up with her favorite humans. Mila enjoys playtime with other dogs, especially larger ones who can match her energy. She's a food-motivated pup and a quick learner, always eager to please with reassurance.
Ideal Home
Mila would thrive in a home with a moderately to very active family who enjoys the outdoors and wants an energetic companion. She's done well with young to older children and would likely be okay with kids of all ages, but we generally recommend homes with children over 10 years old or those who are experienced with dogs. She'll do best in a home where someone is present more often than not, as she enjoys company. She also needs a home with at least one other dog, ideally one who can keep up with her playful nature.
Ongoing Health
Mila is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Mila is still young and working on her training. While she hasn't been crate trained due to always having supervision and access to a doggy door, she has proven trustworthy when left unsupervised, provided tempting food items are out of reach and trash cans are secured. She can sometimes jump on other dogs during play, so gentle guidance will help her learn appropriate play manners. She also benefits from separate feeding to ensure harmony during meal times. Patience and positive reinforcement will be key to helping her continue to grow and adjust.
