Duke is a sweet and happy 11-year-old male Boxer who is ready to find his forever home. He's up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Duke is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He knows commands like "sit" and can even differentiate between his "inside voice" and "outside voice" – how clever is that! Duke is also a pro at catching treats and is the most wonderful cuddler when you need a little extra comfort.

Duke's past wasn't ideal, as he was abandoned by his previous family. He came to us with two severe ear infections and missing hair due to a lack of veterinary care. It was also reported that an incident occurred at home involving a child, which was determined to be entirely preventable and the owners' fault. Duke deserves a fresh start and a loving family to show him how wonderful life can be.

Ideal Home

Duke would thrive in a home without children. Because of his past experience, squeaky toys are also a no-go for him. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats, but he is protective of his beds and belongings. Therefore, a home where he can be the only pet would be ideal, allowing him to relax without the worry of sharing.

Ongoing Health

Duke was treated for two severe ear infections and has recovered well. He is current on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Duke is already house-trained and crate-trained. He walks well on a leash and knows several commands. He is a very affectionate and loyal companion who loves nothing more than spending time with his human.
