Moxie Foxie Friend to All

Miss Moxie is what would happen if you mixed together sunshine, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and the world's sweetest little goober into one absolutely adorable dog. At around 5 years old, this lab/pittie mix is the definition of a family girl. She's playful, affectionate, goofy, and SO full of love. Moxie has this soft, sweet personality that makes people instantly fall for her. She's the kind of dog who looks at you like you personally hung the moon... and then immediately flops onto her back demanding tummy rubs as payment. And let's be clear: this girl is a PROFESSIONAL at belly rubs. She performs full dramatic fainting spells directly onto her back with all four paws in the air like a little spotted fainting goat. Belly exposed. Tail wagging. Tiny hopeful face. She's basically saying, "Excuse me, I would now like to schedule my spa appointment." And honestly? Nobody says no to her. Her foster says she absolutely loves toys and will proudly carry squeaky toys around the house chomping and squeaking away like it's her full-time career. She has this happy goofy energy that makes her feel like a permanent cartoon character. Everything is exciting to her. Everything is fun. Everything deserves a happy little tail wag.

Ideal Home

Moxie would love a home with a yard where she can zoom around, play with her dog friends, and live her best goofy little life. She also lives with a toddler and a 4-month-old baby and does amazing. She loves playing with the toddler and really just has the vibe of a classic happy family dog - the kind that joins family walks, lays nearby during movie nights, and somehow always ends up directly in the middle of whatever everyone is doing. Cats are not her thing, so no kitties for Miss Moxie.

Ongoing Health

Moxie does have some skin allergies, which technically makes her a special needs girl, but she truly doesn't let it slow her down one bit. She just needs a limited ingredient diet and regular vet care to help keep her skin comfy and healthy.

Training & Support

She's wonderful on leash, crate trained, treat motivated, and knows commands like sit and lay down. She truly blossoms around other dogs, and while she can be a solo dog, her dream life would include another playful dog buddy. She has wonderful dog manners and reads social cues beautifully.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
