About Sadie in NH(sponsored!)

Sadie is a beautiful, sensitive soul who’s looking for a very special home. Around 3 years old, Sadie has had a tough start in life and is naturally shy and wary of strangers. She can be standoffish and will growl or snap if she feels her boundaries aren’t respected — she needs a family who truly understands that trust is earned, not demanded. Once Sadie knows you’re safe, her real personality shines through: she’s playful, smart, and absolutely loves her toys. Toss her a squeaky toy and you’ll see her inner puppy come to life! She’ll happily entertain herself or invite you to join her playtime once she feels secure. Sadie isn’t the dog for everyone — but for the right person, she’ll be a deeply rewarding friend. If you believe in second chances and know how to let a dog set the pace, Sadie might just be waiting for you. Her adoption fee is sponsored.

Ideal Home

Sadie will thrive in a quiet, patient, adult-only home with people experienced in giving shy dogs the space and time they need to come around. She’ll do best as the only pet, or with a calm, respectful male larger canine companion after a proper introduction. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a secure, calm home environment. Great Pyrenees are known to be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective, and cannot be off-leash. It's important to understand that you will not train a pyr to boundaries.

Ongoing Health

All dogs are altered when adoption is finalized and will be up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heartworm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped, and have a current health certificate.

Training & Support

Sadie is treat motivated and will benefit from positive reinforcement training. A big toy basket wouldn’t hurt! Proof of a basic obedience course completion is part of the adoption contract within six months.
