Meet Venus! This sweet 5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing about 45 lbs, is looking for her forever family. Venus is the type of dog who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. She's calm, people-oriented, and happy to match your energy, whether that's lounging on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure.
Venus enjoys play sessions with other dogs and loves to run, wrestle, and explore with her canine companions, especially during backyard zoomies. She also adores toys and playing with her humans. Her love for water is undeniable; she'll happily splash around in a kiddie pool or stream. Plus, she's a great car rider, making her the perfect companion for road trips and park visits.
Venus has shown a strong interest in chasing cats, so a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. She could do well in a family with older, respectful children who understand boundaries and enjoy including her in their day-to-day activities. A home that enjoys outdoor adventures and water play would be a perfect fit for her.
Ongoing Health
Venus is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.
Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners, as she can pull sometimes, but she is a quick learner and very food motivated.
