Zuko is a 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life! He's an affectionate companion and an enthusiastic social butterfly who greets every day with his whole heart, body, and four paws. Zuko is friendly, confident, and endlessly entertaining, happiest when surrounded by people he loves and dogs ready to play. He's a rescue, so his breed and age are best observations, with no guarantees. Zuko has proven himself to be house and crate trained and knows multiple commands. He enjoys learning and thrives on positive reinforcement. He's active and playful but also knows how to settle down and be a respectful housemate. Zuko loves running and is incredibly appreciative of his people. He believes in "Friends everywhere!" and is quick to win hearts with his affectionate nature. He has learned to coexist respectfully with pet rabbits but would do best in a cat-free home. Zuko truly shines with other dogs, especially confident, playful dogs over 25 pounds who enjoy his rough-and-tumble play style. He can be a bit pushy during play and may need reminders about respecting boundaries, but he is social, resilient, and eager to engage. A confident adult dog could be a great mentor for him. He's also a fantastic fetch partner, complete with a signature squeaky-ball celebration. Zuko would love an active family who includes him in daily adventures, walks, outings, training sessions, and plenty of playtime. Apartment living has worked for him, provided he gets enough exercise, enrichment, and social interaction. He has an endearing soft side and loves to be tucked into a blanket for a cozy nap, complete with sweet little pittie-pig snores.

Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
