About Scout

Professional Fetch Champion. Stick Collector. Certified Good Boy.

Scout is the kind of dog who looks at you with those big amber eyes like you're the most interesting person he's ever met. At about a year and a half old and 68 pounds, this handsome Terrier/Lab/Heeler mix is a big, happy goofball with an even bigger heart. He was found dumped as a tiny puppy near his foster's home, and thankfully, someone decided he deserved better.

Scout absolutely loves people. New friends? Fantastic. Delivery drivers? Amazing. Strangers? Probably future besties. He doesn't even bark at newcomers because, in his mind, everyone is simply a friend he hasn't met yet. He's playful, social, and always ready for fun. Fetch is one of his favorite activities, and he's equally happy carrying around sticks, chewing on toys, or proudly showing off his latest chew bone like he won an award.

Scout also loves other dogs. He plays beautifully with both large and small canine friends and enjoys having companions around, though he's confident enough to be perfectly happy as an only dog too. He's friendly, respectful, and ready to make new dog friends wherever he goes. And honestly? This boy is smart. He's fully potty trained, kennel trained, knows how to use a dog door, walks nicely on a leash with occasional reminders, behaves wonderfully in stores, and is fantastic at the vet. He already knows "sit" and "down" and seems like the kind of dog who picks up new things almost immediately.

Ideal Home

Scout would thrive in an active home with a yard, daily walks, and people who want a loyal sidekick for life's adventures. He loves being involved, loves having fun, and loves his people with his whole heart. Due to a high prey drive, he is not suitable for a home with cats, livestock, or other small animals. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned.

Training & Support

Scout sometimes gets excited and jumps up to say hello because he genuinely believes every person exists to pet him. He is not destructive, an escape artist, or a door dasher. He's adaptable, eager to please, and remarkably well-rounded for such a young dog.
