Coffee

Coffee is a handsome 1-year-old male Labrador Creole mix, weighing around 30 lbs. He's a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful pup who was rescued in March 2024 with his six siblings from a field in Saltillo, Mexico. Coffee is sociable with humans of all ages and other dogs, enjoying playtime, walks, and lots of affection. He can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but he quickly warms up and melts into your arms. He's also dog and cat-friendly, docile, joyful, and loyal. Coffee is crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

Coffee would thrive in a home with active families who enjoy outdoor activities. He needs a fenced backyard and owners with an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, understanding their potential need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is essential. He is NOT house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Coffee has completed a comprehensive health protocol including being neutered, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. He has also tested negative for heartworm and tested negative on a 4DX test. He is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.

Training & Support

Coffee is not house-trained, which is common for many rescued animals due to the extensive efforts required for their rehabilitation. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue his training and education.

• Following application approval, a phone/email interview will be scheduled, which may include the foster parent.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted to ensure a safe environment.
• A virtual "meet and greet" will be arranged for you to interact with Coffee and for us to see your home.
• A trial adoption period with ongoing communication with our team is part of the process.

Transportation

Coffee is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
