Meet Gina! This lovely 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, weighing in at 56lbs, is ready to find her forever family. Gina had a tough start to life, found abandoned in a cardboard box near a busy road as a tiny puppy. Thankfully, a wonderful foster home has given her a second chance at happiness.

Ideal Home

Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She would do well with a family with older (10 and up), dog-savvy children, a couple, or even someone living alone. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from having a canine companion to keep her company and help with her energy. A home without cats is recommended, as she can be a bit too enthusiastic around neighborhood kitties.

Gina is a healthy, spayed female.

Training & Support

Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. While she is smart and learns quickly, she is currently in the "puppy velociraptor" stage and needs guidance on appropriate chew toys. She also prefers to eat her treats alone. Gina can be a bit apprehensive around larger dogs she doesn't know due to a past negative experience, so slow introductions are essential.
