Meet Wheezy! This four-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart has a heart as big as her personality! With her snowy white coat, golden patches, and striking icy blue eyes, she's a beautiful and loving companion. Wheezy is loyal, cuddly, and playful, and she cherishes being close to her people, whether that means snuggling on the couch or enjoying her favorite activity: gentle but enthusiastic roughhousing! When she's happy, she lets out little wheezes and oinks of pure contentment, like a happy little piglet – it's impossible not to smile!
Ideal Home
Wheezy would thrive as the only pet in the home. She is reactive toward other animals and isn't comfortable sharing her space. She would do best with an experienced adopter in a quiet, pet-free home. She is not currently compatible with homes with young children.
Ongoing Health
Wheezy receives Venlafaxine to help manage stress and reactivity, and it's been very beneficial for her. She also follows a special diet to manage food sensitivities, which helps her feel her best.
Training & Support
Wheezy is remarkably intelligent and responsive. She's fully house-trained, knows several commands including sit, shake, place, free, and wait, and learns new skills quickly. With new people, Wheezy typically needs about 10 to 15 minutes to warm up. She may bark or seem unsure at first, but offering a bit of wet food helps her feel comfortable quickly. She's made meaningful progress on leash, and with the right precautions, walks have become much more enjoyable. Vet visits require some preparation and pre-visit medication, and with that support, she does well.
