Twinkle

Twinkle is a beautiful girl who we rescued from the San Bernardino Shelter after she recovered from kennel cough and was in danger due to severe shelter overcrowding. She is happy to greet people of all ages, often waving her front paws in the air when she sees her favorite volunteers. But after the initial greeting, make no mistake—Twinkle prefers activity to lounging or cuddling.

While she is a senior on paper, she is not a senior in attitude. Twinkle is a very active dog, often preferring going on a run over a walk. She has great endurance and often has to be coaxed to take breaks. She is good on leash during jogs, but may pull or circle if you are walking too slow for her. Besides exploring for miles, Twinkle also loves water. If you offer her a bowl of water, she’ll often opt to dig and splash rather than drink—something that often has people laughing at adoption events.

Ideal Home

Twinkle needs to be your one-and-only with no other dogs, cats, or critters in the home. She is not a candidate for dog parks or beaches due to her high prey drive.
