Meet Barefoot Farm Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our Bernese are family & farm-raised on 50 beautiful acres in Southeast Ohio. Our goal is to provide you with a companion that has unrivaled beauty, outstanding temperament, personality, health, & longevity. Our dams and sire are AKC registered and we have carefully selected each one. Countless hours are devoted to the breed and raising our puppies to optimize your experience with Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our babies are socialized and handled daily to provide you a well-adjusted and confident puppy. They are wooled and loved on by both little and big humans so they are ready for family life. The day they are born they are handled, and as they progress in age a multitude of stimuli are introduced including sights, sounds, temperature, and smell. We work on grooming, sensory substrates, limited separation from litter mates, rain training, and stairs. It is important that you continue socialization between 8-12 weeks since this is the Fear Imprint Period. Expose them to as many unique situations as possible to allow them to continue to grow into confident companions. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. We are not a kennel or puppy mill, we are just a family that LOVES Bernese Mountain Dogs and want to share the joy of having such a wonderful companion in the family. We hand select each of our dogs to assure the health and longevity of the breed and to provide families with a fantastic companion.
