Kitty

Kitty is a sweet, affectionate girl who settles into new situations quickly and has an easygoing personality. She loves spending time with people and is happiest when she's sitting right by your side, soaking up all the attention she can get. She enjoys going for walks, understands basic commands, and has excellent manners in the home. Kitty is more interested in being with her people than playing with toys, though she'll happily join in for a little fun now and then. Kitty is friendly with new people and greets strangers with a gentle, loving demeanor, no jumping, just a happy heart looking for a new friend. She appears to get along well with other dogs and has shown no reactivity toward cats. During her time at the sanctuary, Kitty has been a volunteer favorite thanks to her loving nature and wonderful personality. She truly loves life and hasn't shown any concerning behaviors during her decompression period.

Ideal Home

Kitty would thrive in a low- to medium-energy home where she can enjoy leisurely walks, plenty of affection, and a peaceful environment. She would likely be happiest in a home with calm children ages 10 and older, as too much commotion can make her feel stressed. She would also do best with calmer dog friends.

Ongoing Health

Kitty does display some signs that may be related to a neurological condition, but they don't appear to bother her or slow her down in any way.

Training & Support

Kitty understands basic commands and has excellent manners in the home. She hasn't shown any concerning behaviors during her decompression period.
