Meet Lucy – Sweet, Shy, and Full of Potential
Lucy is a young and endearing pup who’s learning how good life can be. She’s shy around new people but incredibly loyal and affectionate once she warms up. In her foster home, she’s shown just how intelligent and eager to please she is—learning quickly and responding beautifully to gentle guidance.
She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings, including a playful younger dog and a senior diabetic dog she adores. Lucy thrives with other dogs around; she seeks their attention, snuggles them often, and brings out the best in them. A home with another friendly dog would be ideal for her.
Lucy is calm indoors, well-behaved, and has excellent house manners—she even uses the doggy door like a pro. She enjoys hiking, swimming, and playtime, and while she has plenty of energy, she’s also quick to settle down and relax by your side. She walks well on a leash, knows basic commands (Sit, Come, Leave it), and is continuing to build her confidence in new situations.
