APRIL

April is a sweet and happy 1-year-old, 30lb mixed-breed girl with a beautiful black coat. Despite a challenging start in life, having been abandoned and found to be starving with puppies, April's spirit remains bright. She is incredibly loving and trusting towards humans and has a particular fondness for trips to the doggie park and hiking in the woods. April is already doing well in her foster home and is ready to find a forever family to call her own.

Ideal Home

April would thrive in a home that is both quiet and active. She is good with people, dogs of all sizes, and even cats! Children of any age are also welcome.

Ongoing Health

April has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She tested negative for common diseases and is on monthly heartworm and deworming preventative. She also received Bravecto on 05/01/2026.

Training & Support

April is crate-trained and house-trained, showing great progress with her leash training. She can be a little shy at first, especially with strangers and men, but she warms up quickly. She has no history of food aggression or biting.
