Annie

Annie is a 2–3-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who has been spayed. She has a strong personality with just enough sensitivity to keep things interesting. Annie is a highly intelligent, mischievous, all-around companion. She responds quickly to correction, but care must be taken to not overdo it, as she can get her feelings hurt quite easily; however, all is forgiven just as quickly. If Annie sounds like a dog for you and you have the time to invest, you would be hard-pressed to find a better dog.

Ideal Home

Annie is high-energy and exuberant. She may not be ideally suited for a family with small children or elderly people as she may inadvertently knock them down or jump on them.

Training & Support

Annie is high-energy and requires sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. Letting a dog out into the backyard is not considered sufficient exercise; she needs to be actively engaged either by playing interactive games like fetching and retrieving or going for a controlled run. Obedience training is a valuable tool that both challenges the dog and reinforces the bond between the human and the dog. Activities such as agility training or search and rescue are entertaining and challenging ways to participate in the canine community, requiring both mental and physical activity, and helping the dog to focus.
