Cjay thrives in a calm, structured home environment with a strong leader who has a kind heart and is committed to consistent training. He's looking for an experienced owner, or someone eager to learn, who understands big, protective breeds. An active lifestyle is a plus, as Cjay loves to join his humans on outings, but he's also happy to be a couch potato. He needs proper, slow introductions to new people and other animals. While he lives harmoniously with cats and a child around 12 years old, he prefers calm, respectful canine companions and would do best with dogs who are similarly trained or willing to be trained to Cjay's established rules. He can also be a wonderful only dog.
Ongoing Health
Cjay is in great shape for his age, estimated around 10 years old. He weighs about 86 pounds. He does have a sensitive tummy, which is easily managed with high-quality food and treats, and avoiding poultry. He also occasionally experiences dry eyes, which are effectively treated with eyedrops. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Cjay is a super-trained dog with a strong skillset thanks to his extensive board and train experience with a professional behaviorist. He is crate trained and will come with his own Impact crate. His trainer will provide sessions to his new family to ensure consistency in his training and a smooth adjustment.
