Westin

Are you a people person? No? Well, then, we have the dog for YOU! Who loves who he loves (and that is only a handful of folks here at MAC). If he loves you, he will allow you to do anything to/with him- pet him, walk him on lead, carry him, exist with him, .... the options are seemingly limitless. Westin is a black and white thinker, so you are either loved or hated. HOWEVER, he is learning that when scary people (which is 99.9% of the population) are in his line of sight, chicken magically falls from the sky. This is helping him have a positive association with scary things (people with whom he is not close). Westin entered MAC as a stray with another dog, who has since been adopted. We guess that his age is about 4 years old. How do we determine that? By looking at the condition of his teeth, which he shows some of us when we talk to him. He might do better with a second dog, but that is not at all required. His favorite things are Miss Clara and staff members, being outside, going on leashed walks and cuddling with his human friends. He is a face kisser, so be warned that he has been guilty of public displays of affection with some of us at MAC. His skills are alarm barking (you will never feel unsafe if you live alone), speak barking (he is learning to say words), eating treats and going outside to potty. He dreams of a home where there is not a lot of (or any) visitors, where he can snuggle with his beloved human on the sofa, on the floor, in the bed and binge watch Netflix documentaries. If you are in the market for a very loyal, sensitive companion who may be taking more medication than you currently are, come by and give Westin a visit.
