Meet Castiel, a joyful and unique one-year-old boy with a charming wiry coat! We believe he might be a delightful mix of Wire Hair Terrier and Chihuahua, but with rescue, it's always a fun surprise. Castiel hails from a part of the US where puppies are sadly often euthanized, so by choosing him, you're not only saving his life but also making room for us to save another.
Castiel is a spunky pup with moderate to low shedding potential. He absolutely loves toys and engaging in play, especially with children. He's a social butterfly who tries to initiate fun and enjoys receiving affection once he's tired from playing. He's met other dogs, including a playful small dog named Jessica, and has been gentle in his interactions. He was also introduced to a cat and showed no interest. Castiel is a trusting and outgoing soul who is sure to turn heads with his striking blue eyes!
While Castiel is hearing impaired, it doesn't slow him down one bit! He's fully capable of enjoying all the puppy adventures and cuddles. He's not shy and adores other dogs, eager to be everyone's friend. This special boy is ready to be your loyal companion and shower you with kisses!
Ideal Home
Castiel is looking for a family that can commit to continued training and socialization, understanding that puppyhood requires dedication. He would likely do well in a home with children, as he has shown joy and eagerness to engage with them. He is also friendly towards other dogs and uninterested in cats.
Ongoing Health
Castiel is hearing impaired. Otherwise, he is a healthy young pup.
Training & Support
As Castiel is still young, he will need consistent training, including continued potty and crate training, and daily exercise. He is a people-pleaser and is expected to learn quickly.
