Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur puppy bursting with life and curiosity! He's about 5-6 months old and weighs around 18 lbs, with an estimated adult weight of 40 lbs. Ollie gets along famously with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, showing he's a truly adaptable and well-rounded pup. He's playful, energetic, and loves to chase and run with his doggy friends, always eager to be part of the action. Ollie is also a big softie, showering his humans with affection and kisses.
Ideal Home
Ollie is looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a securely fenced backyard. He thrives with structure, consistency, and guidance. Experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. A family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies will help Ollie flourish. He is not house-trained and requires a home environment that can accommodate this.
Ongoing Health
Ollie has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. He has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. He is currently on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra.
Training & Support
Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, occasionally showing mild defensive behavior if other dogs try to take it. It is recommended to feed him separately and continue basic training to help him learn boundaries. As he is not house-trained, consistent routines and clear guidance are essential for his success. Patience and understanding are crucial for rescued puppies as they adjust to new environments.

Transporation
Ollie is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip if adopted. Transportation is available for an additional fee of $400 USD, which includes door-to-door delivery. This process involves scheduled trips with a partnered transport company, comprehensive paperwork including a USDA health certificate, and real-time updates throughout the journey.
