Klarah

Klarah is a curious and intelligent girl with an endless capacity for love and a strong eagerness to please. She's a beacon of peace and companionship at home, content to lounge on the couch, enjoy music, and rest her head on your lap. On more active days, Klarah loves walks in the park, chasing squirrels, playing fetch, and practicing her tricks. She has already mastered "sit" and is working on "stay." She's also house-trained!

Ideal Home

Klarah can be a little anxious around strangers and may bark or be standoffish initially, but she is growing more comfortable every day. She warms up more quickly to women than men and requires a bit of patience as she adjusts.

Ongoing Health

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Klarah is still working on "stay" and may need some gentle encouragement. She is already house-trained.

Transportation

Take Paws Rescue is based in New Orleans and saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application is required to ensure the perfect match.
