Joseph is a gentle giant with a soft heart and a big “smush” personality once he knows you. He can be a little nervous at first, but he warms up beautifully and quickly turns into a loving, affectionate cuddle buddy who really leans into his people. He is social with other dogs and has been doing much better with easygoing canine friends, even enjoying some gentle play. In more overwhelming group settings, he can still get a bit unsure, so he does best with calm, thoughtful introductions and steady, low-stress environments where he can feel comfortable. Once Joseph feels safe, his true personality shines—he’s sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to belong and be part of the family. Joseph is looking for a home that will give him a little patience at first and a lot of love in return.
