Meet Domino!
Domino is a sweet, twelve-year-old American Pitbull Terrier with a handsome black-and-white coat. He's a calming presence who enjoys life's simple pleasures: leisurely walks, car rides, sunny spots, and spending time with his loved ones. Domino is content to nap nearby while you work from home or ride along on errands. He's described as an old soul, a steady companion who offers comfort during good and challenging times. His favorite activities include easy walks, accompanying his people on outings, and snoozing close by. He is house-trained, non-destructive, microchipped, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and very polite.
Ideal Home
Domino would thrive in a calm, low-stress home with an experienced pet parent who appreciates the unique needs of a senior companion. He has shown that living with toddlers is not comfortable for him and has given warning nips toward young children. He must be placed in a home without toddlers or young children who visit regularly. He has done well around older children and may be suitable for families with respectful children approximately eight years of age and older who can understand and honor his boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Domino requires some simple daily care. He receives medication to manage arthritis and a digestive condition. A heart murmur is monitored without medication. His hearing is fading. A medication stipend is available to the right family to help support his ongoing senior care needs.
Training & Support
Domino knows commands such as sit, stay, and down, though he is a little rusty. A professional trainer familiar with Domino has evaluated his behaviors with young children and believes they are communication signals rather than indications of a desire to injure.
