Meet Tiberius, a distinguished 7½-year-old mixed-breed gentleman with a calm demeanor and soulful eyes that speak of a life full of untold stories. We suspect he might have some Akita in him, as his thoughtful and reserved nature seems to echo that of the breed. Tiberius found himself in our care after his owner moved and could no longer keep him, leaving him with little information about his past. Understandably, he's been a bit shy and uncertain as he navigates this sudden change in his life. However, despite his nerves, Tiberius has shown us his gentle, cooperative, and kind spirit, allowing us to handle him and walk him on a leash. A bright spot in his journey has been the dedicated work of our volunteer trainer, who has been consistently building his confidence. With patience and kindness, Tiberius is slowly learning to trust again and blossom into the wonderful companion he is.
Ideal Home
Tiberius would thrive in a patient and low-key home where he can continue to build his confidence at his own pace. A second, confident, and social dog would be a huge bonus for him, as he seemed to take comfort in canine companionship during shelter playgroups. Any resident dogs will need to meet Tiberius first.
Ongoing Health
Tiberius will come to you neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested.
Training & Support
Our volunteer trainer has been working with Tiberius to help him gain confidence, and the progress has been wonderful. He's learning to trust people again, and with continued patience and consistency, he will continue to flourish.
