Meet Macie! This brave 5.5-month-old survivor was found abandoned on a cold January night with her mama and seven siblings. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into loving foster homes where Macie has blossomed into a bold, brilliant, and energetic pup. She's a curious and active heeler mix who loves to play, especially with other dogs who can match her zest for life. Macie is always ready for an adventure and is constantly learning and exploring her world.
Ideal Home
Macie is an active, intelligent, and driven dog who thrives on structure, training, and enrichment. She needs an owner who understands the needs of herding breeds and is committed to providing her with plenty of activity and purpose. She would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children due to her energy level and herding instincts. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but finding a perfect match can be tricky, so an only-pet home might be easier for some adopters.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
Training & Support
Heelers are smart and athletic dogs that require consistent training and engagement. Without proper outlets, they can become frustrated. Macie will need a dedicated owner to guide her and help her channel her energy positively.

Transportation
Macie is currently located in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. Virtual meet-and-greets are available, and transport to many states in the Northeast can be arranged. The adoption fee includes transport to the city listed. Transports run every 2-3 weeks. Adoptions to Rhode Island are not possible due to import restrictions.
