Victoria is a 5-year-old female Husky mix who weighs approximately 48 lbs. She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, where she was found hungry and thirsty. After being brought into a home, she slept for two days straight before adjusting to shelter life. Victoria arrived severely malnourished, but she has since gained weight and is now healthy, though she is missing most of her teeth. Despite her past, she is a grateful, confident, noble, and loving dog with a beautiful smile. She enjoys affection, cuddling, and being rubbed. Victoria is crate and leash trained.
Ideal Home
Victoria would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and active families who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, long walks, and running. She needs a family with an open mind about the behaviors of rescued street animals, experience in dog behavior and training, and a high tolerance and patience for rescued pups. She is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Victoria is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She is also dewormed and has tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She is missing most of her teeth, with only three molars visible.
Training & Support
Victoria is crate and leash trained. She needs to eat in a cage to prevent her from taking food from others and potentially causing fights. Families should be prepared for her not to be house-trained.
