Trix is an 8-month-old, spayed female Pitbull mix weighing around 35 pounds. She has the sweetest, smartest soul and is a shy girl who is learning to build her confidence. Trix and her brother were surrendered to a shelter and she was the more shut-down of the two. While her brother has found his home, Trix needed extra time in foster care. She was significantly undersocialized early in life, and her baseline is fear of humans. However, she has never shown any reactivity and simply looks for a safe place to hide when unsure. She is gentle, quiet, and incredibly observant, picking things up quickly. With patience and trust-building, Trix softens and begins to play with toys, run with other dogs, and eventually cuddle with her people.
Ideal Home
Trix will need a home where someone is around more often than not, as building trust takes time and consistency. She would thrive with a confident canine companion to follow and learn from, though adopters without another dog should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence building.

Trix is housebroken and loves her crate. She is learning to walk on a leash and has been around kids, though she is shy at first. Her foster family is working on her confidence and socialization. Trix is a diamond in the rough who will require patience, compassion, and commitment.

- Transports run every few weeks, and approved dogs will be on the next available transport. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.

Trix is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas and can be transported once an adopter is matched. The adoption donation includes transport.
