Meet Althea! Althea is a beautiful 6-year-old Black Lab mix weighing about 55 pounds. This sweet girl has a gentle and slightly shy personality, but once she gets to know you, her loving nature truly shines. Althea is a loyal and affectionate companion who enjoys being close to her people. This wonderful girl was rescued at the last moment from Cobb County Animal Services together with her "sister," Mulan, and we are so grateful they both got their second chance. Since leaving the shelter, Althea has been enjoying life in foster care, especially spending time playing in the backyard with her dog friends. Althea has a medium energy level and is just as happy going for a nice walk as she is relaxing on the couch for some cuddle time. Althea walks nicely on a leash and is currently learning new commands, showing how eager she is to please. This sweet girl is friendly with people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. With lots of love, she will make a wonderful, devoted companion for a lucky family.

Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
